Microblink BlinkID Authentication Action

One form of Identity proofing is ID document scanning. This approach can be coupled with user authentication to further proof that the user is who they claim to be. This example authentication action can be coupled with any authenticator to perform a scan of a supported ID document and capture attributes from the scan that can be used in the authentication context for identity proofing.

Demo Recording

The below demo recording shows the flow of an authenticator coupled with this action where an ID is scanned using the build-in laptop camera. Attributes from the scan are available to the server and the demo shows the expiration attribute being populated as a claim in the ID token as an example.
