HealthHero, founded in 2019, has quickly become one of the largest telemedicine platforms in Europe. They serve healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients by focusing on enhancing healthcare accessibility and delivery. The HealthHero team needed a new powerful identity and access management (IAM) solution to ensure continued success and growth after a rapid series of acquisitions. It would consolidate several systems and establish a scalable and reliable common identity platform for their digital pan-European offering.
The requirements for the new solution included being standards-based, scalable, and flexible to allow for many integrations. Providing smooth and secure login experiences for patients, clinicians, and other stakeholders was the ultimate driver in the search for a new solution.
As one of the largest virtual healthcare providers in Europe, we offer our clients and patients a simplified way to access a complex and continually growing suite of primary healthcare services. We aim to create as seamless an experience as possible for patients, so we were looking for a tool that gave us a lot of flexibility in terms of authentication.
Selection and Solution
In their search for an identity solution, HealthHero did extensive market research which led them to Curity. Curity's product demonstrated great capacity in handling unique and complex authentication cases, in different regions, fulfilling the modern healthcare platform requirements. Built on established industry standards, the Curity Identity Server provides the flexible and powerful configuration and integration options that HealthHero sought.
Results
Currently, HealthHero are in the process of migrating their services to a new platform. They emphasize the seamless integration capabilities of the Curity product that makes it easier to unify their sub-organizations’ systems with different identity providers and prepare for future growth.
The technical support by Curity’s Professional Services facilitated swift issue resolution, proving invaluable to HealthHero’s development team during the implementation stage. The documentation and intuitive dashboard tooling have been particularly beneficial.
