Business Objectives and Challenges
On its journey for digital transformation, Scandic Hotels found that to reach its goal, it needed a modern identity and access management solution with extensive capabilities. It required a product that could unify authentication for its website and mobile apps, allow for large numbers of integrations, and enable growth.
With their customers in focus - frequent guests and members who are always on the go and need smooth, easy login options, user experience also plays a significant role. Therefore, another requirement for a new solution was frictionless authentication capabilities without compromising on security. This would enable Scandic Hotels guests to easily and securely manage their bookings, and check-in and check-out online.
Selection and Solution
The selection process of a new identity and access management provider involved finding a solution that matched the following must-have criteria:
- Standards-based to enable tailor-made login experiences
- Flexible and scalable, with excellent integration and customization capabilities
- Stable and powerful to ensure the always-on approach
Evaluating both SaaS and application-based delivery options, Scandic determined that Curity was the best technical fit. Being a cloud-native application, it could easily run within Scandic's infrastructure. With a part of Curity’s team located in Stockholm, it was very easy to collaborate and get started with the initial installation and flow implementation.
Curity was the option that fitted our needs to ensure the best security.
