The Authentication Service can integrate with various other applications or Service Providers (SP) using a number of different protocols, including SAML and specialized protocols like that exposed by PingFederate from Ping Identity.

The latter two options, SAML and SIP, allow the Authentication Service to integrate with a wide array of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products besides those listed above.
