Working At Curity

Professional Services Identity Specialist, Finland

I’m at my happiest when I can help build a tailored solution that actually makes a customer’s day a little easier.

I’m an identity specialist working as part of the Professional Services team, I love using technology to solve real-world problems. My work centers on OAuth and OpenID Connect and helping customers solve challenges, participating in architecture discussions or providing hands-on guidance.

When time allows, I also contribute to Curity’s product development and write technical articles that simplify complex topics, drawing on my experience in cloud and cloud-native technologies.

My Background

I kicked off my career back in 2007 after getting a degree in Computer Science Engineering, starting as a backend developer. Over time, I gravitated toward security, identity and access management in particular, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I’ve worked across continents and cultures - from India to the UK, Canada, and finally to Finland, which is a great place to live with all the nature and tranquility it brings. Along the way, I’ve worn many hats: working on the customer side, as a system integrator, and now on the product and solution support side at Curity. It feels like coming full circle.

My Curity Story

I joined Curity in 2022, drawn by the depth of technical resources on the Curity website and the sheer brilliance of the engineers here.

The people are, without a doubt, the best part of Curity. Everyone’s an expert in their own right, but ideas flow freely, and collaboration is part of the company’s DNA. It’s genuinely a great place to work.

Work/Life

Curity really embraces that Nordic work-life balance. Working remotely supports that. It helps me get tons done, but also allows me to prioritize family and life outside of work.

And even though we're all working from different places, we stay super connected. We have regular meetups and a really active Slack community, so everyone feels close and involved.

My Typical Day

I start my mornings early with a refreshing bath and some Vedic mantras - a soul-nourishing ritual that lifts me beyond the everyday and sets a peaceful tone for what’s ahead.

After dropping my kids at school, I map out my day. Then it’s a morning standup, followed by a mix of customer meetings, hands-on work and research. It’s a rhythm that keeps me motivated.

In My Free Time

With two kids, free time is a rare gem, but when I have it, I love walking in nature. Sometimes with music, sometimes just catching up with a friend over the phone. It’s how I reset.

3 Things I Can’t Live Without

  1. The quiet strength I draw from my faith.
  2. My family and close friends, who keep me grounded and inspired.
  3. Humor - because even the toughest days need one.
