New Release: Curity Identity Server 8.4
We are pleased to announce the release of the Curity Identity Server 8.4.
Though minor, this release contains several exciting features, enhancements and fixes.
Here are some of the highlights:
New Type of Clients: Database Clients
The 8.4 release introduces the new type of clients - Database Clients. They are similar to the clients that can be configured in the Admin UI but are persisted in the database rather than in configuration. There are two ways to manage these, either programmatically using a new GraphQL endpoint on the token profile, or using the DevOps Dashboard. This closes the gap between dynamically registered clients and configured clients as the database client provides the full capabilities of a configured client, with the efficiency and integration capabilities of the DCR clients.
New iOS UI SDK for the Hypermedia Authentication API
The Curity Identity Server 8.4 introduces the iOS UI SDK, providing a low code option for building mobile applications that integrate natively with the Curity Authentication Service. With the iOS UI SDK, it is now possible to make a full Hypermedia Authentication API (HAAPI) integration with only a few lines of code. The SDK can be styled to match the look and feel of the rest of the mobile application for a seamless user experience.
Verifiable Credential Issuance: Custom Procedures for Pre-Authorized Grant
The verifiable credential issuance system has been updated with support for custom procedures when using the pre-authorized grant. This grant allows one client (a web page) to pass the user session over to a mobile application, providing a seamless user experience when issuing credentials.
