A Decade of Identity Innovation: Curity at 10

This month, Curity turns 10. We sat down with one of the founders - Curity CTO Jacob Ideskog - to reflect on the journey so far and what lies ahead.

From day one, our vision has been clear: to make the internet safer by managing identity in a way that respects both privacy and security. That mission still drives us. What’s changed is the scale. Today, Curity powers a wide range of complex identity environments, all while staying true to the architectural principles we started with.

We’ve always taken a pragmatic approach to product development - solving real-world problems rather than building for edge cases or hypothetical futures, and deliberately avoiding technical debt. As Jacob says in the video:

At Curity, we take the time to do things properly. If we find something that needs to be redone, we take that time. Security is an architectural concern, but in software, it’s about getting all the details right.

Ten years in, we’re still doing the hard things well and thoroughly: securing complex systems, staying flexible, and building a product where security is in the details. Along the way, our global team has grown (and is still growing) - and with it, a shared mindset to challenge the status quo and keep improving.

Thanks for being part of the journey so far.
